Namaste, I am Sandip Kshetri, the Founder of Travel to Nepal.

My love for travel didn’t begin in childhood. In fact, it only found me when I was 20. A close friend had invited me to join him on the Mardi trek and that decision actually my life.

This was the first time I stood face-to-face with the towering peaks of the Himalayas. They were so close as if I could reach out and touch them with my bare hands. A snowcapped peak with black rocks, streaks of white, dark clouds circling its crown, and a vast blue sky above. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen.

In that moment, I experienced what people call the “Calling of Mountains.” It is a feeling beyond words like the soul of the mountain whispering into your heart, inviting you closer. And yet, when you realize you cannot go further, it leaves you with a deep longing.

Calling of Mountains is one of the many experiences that I like to call “Special Moments”. The moment that you change who you are.

But Nepal’s magic is not only in its mountains. It also reveals itself in conversation with locals, in the realization that we are all reflections of the history, in the kindness of an old village woman, in sensing the divine and the unseen, in the warmth of a stranger who greets you like family, or in the joy of helping a child you hardly know.

For me, travel is not about simply ticking places off an itinerary. It is about creating journeys where you can truly feel Nepal: its people, its culture, its spirituality, and its unique landscapes. My hope is that everyone who visits finds their own special moment here. One they will carry in their heart forever. And maybe, just maybe, it will change the way they see life in both the smallest and the greatest of ways.
