Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek 11 Days
Trek Overview
We’ve designed this itinerary with families in mind so the trails are generally not too hard. However, there are a few long staircases along the way that might feel tiring. With a steady pace and a little determination, they’re manageable for children and older parents.
As you ascend, you’ll notice the mountains getting closer bit by bit. It will create a sense of anticipation especially for the children. The trail also winds through dense rhododendron forests that bloom shades of pink and red during the spring.
Our highest point in this trek is Poon Hill. It sits between two of the world’s highest mountains: Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Both rise above 8,000 meters. You’ll get a clear view of their peaks from the top.
